Target Audience for this Training

The AV-021 Scaffolder training course is designed for personnel involved in the assembly, disassembly, modification, or use of scaffolding, including both fixed scaffolds (e.g., facade scaffolds) and mobile scaffolds. This course targets professionals who regularly perform work at height and require the necessary technical knowledge, safety awareness, and competencies.

Legal Framework of this Training

The AV-021 Scaffolder training course fully complies with Belgian legislation concerning work at height and the use of scaffolding. The Royal Decree of August 31, 2005, regarding the use of scaffolding and ladders, stipulates that scaffolding may only be erected, used, and dismantled by adequately trained and competent personnel. Furthermore, general obligations from the Codex on Well-being at Work apply, including risk analysis, stability, loading capacity, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. The AV-021 training also adheres to the guidelines for VCA high-risk tasks, ensuring that participants, after theoretical and practical assessment, demonstrate proficiency in the legal and technical requirements for scaffolding construction.
