Target Audience for this Training

The IS‑001 training program is intended for personnel whose professional duties involve operating a forklift in environments characterized by increased task complexity or inherent risks. This typically encompasses employees working in warehouses, industrial premises, workshops, manufacturing plants, and the petrochemical industry. Conversely, the AV‑001 training program is designed for employees performing straightforward, repetitive forklift operations within a warehouse or production setting. This applies to operators executing fundamental movements and low-risk maneuvers in open, clearly defined areas with minimal operational complexity.

Legal Framework for This Training:

The operation of a forklift in Belgium is subject to the legislation on self-propelled mobile work equipment. According to the Codex on Well-being at Work – Book IV, Title 3, forklifts may only be operated by employees who have completed adequate and demonstrable training. Forklift operation is considered a safety-critical function, necessitating a mandatory medical fitness certificate. Furthermore, both AV‑001 (basic) and IS‑001 (advanced) fall under the category of VCA high-risk tasks, for which official theoretical and practical assessment is required in accordance with Besacc‑VCA guidelines. Obtaining a certificate of competence is mandatory for anyone professionally operating a forklift.

Admission Requirements for this Training:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be medically fit.
• Proficiency in the language of this training is required. (This course is available in NL, FR, and ENG – other languages are available upon request)
• Valid identification (ID card or driver's license)
